Categories & Eligibility

Five categories across Classes 1 to 12

Every school student studying in Classes 1 to 12 in any recognised board is eligible to appear in NTSX. The category is assigned automatically by the student's class.

Spark

Classes 1–3

Explorer

Classes 4–5

Achiever

Classes 6–8

Scholar

Classes 9–10

Pathfinder

Classes 11–12

Eligibility criteria

The student must be enrolled in Classes 1 to 12 in a recognised school or board.
Students of all boards (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards and others) are eligible.
For Classes 11–12, the student registers with a stream (Science, Commerce or Arts) and attempts only that section.
Each student may register only once per examination cycle; duplicate registrations are rejected.
